Description

I decided to draw pictures of all the good and neutral gods from Dungeons and Dragons 4th edition that are presented in the Players Handbook. I have been working on and off on this for months. I have tried to take inspiration from several different cultures and time periods because I figure it would be illogical to have a bunch of white guys representing all the cultures found in D&D. Some of the depictions are close to how they are presented in official books, some are based on how other GMs have presented them and some are just made up because I couldn't find any good descriptions.

Pelor is the god of the sun, time, healing and summer. He is often portrayed as an old bearded man in official material, but one of my GMs portrayed him as a strong young looking war god and I liked his protrayal a lot.

Aw, you need to adjust the last line so that it starts out with "Pelor" rather than "Moradin".

Yeah, this is the one portrayal which runs largely counter to official descriptions.  Pelor, the time keeper, old Agricultural god who has sort of lost much of his hold on Agriculture, but becoming akin to father time--a bright father time!

Still, this portrayal of a muscular black man in sort of quasi Egyptian regalia makes so much sense.  It would make sense that he's got an eternal youth and might symbolizing the sun.

Official portrayals are not necessarily 'official' at all in the sense that the deities MUST look like what is shown.  Other cultures in the game will have different portrayals, largely depending on the race of the worshipers.  Any and none might be correct.
